Body contouring
Liposculpture removes selected deposits of subcutaneous fat to improve contour and transitions between body areas. It does not treat obesity, visceral fat, cellulite or substantial loose skin and cannot guarantee a perfectly smooth or symmetrical contour.
The strongest candidates are generally near a stable weight, have localized fat deposits, reasonable skin elasticity and health appropriate for surgery. Significant loose skin may require excision rather than liposuction alone. Photographs and video support a preliminary virtual assessment, but skin quality, hernias, tissue thickness and safe treatment extent require in-person examination.
Consultation reviews weight history, pregnancies, previous operations, hernias, skin quality, medical conditions and clot risk. The number of areas, aspiration volume, anaesthesia and whether procedures can be combined safely are individualized. More extensive treatment is not automatically better and may increase fluid, anaesthetic and thromboembolic risk.
Swelling, bruising, fluid drainage, firmness and sensory change are common early findings. Compression may be recommended, and contour becomes clearer as swelling decreases and tissues soften over the following weeks and months. International patients should arrive before surgery for examination and testing and generally remain in Yerevan for approximately 7–10 days; extensive or combined treatment may require longer local observation. Weight gain, pregnancy and skin ageing can alter the result.
Possible complications include bleeding, infection, seroma, contour irregularity, asymmetry, loose skin, pigment change, sensory disturbance, fat necrosis, fluid imbalance, anaesthetic complications and thrombosis. Rare serious complications are possible, particularly with extensive or combined surgery. Liposculpture cannot guarantee perfectly smooth skin, exact symmetry or permanent protection from future weight-related change.
Send well-lit front, side and rear photographs together with height, weight, weight stability, previous operations, pregnancies and medical history. Relevant liposculpture cases can also be reviewed in the Before & After gallery.
